I never understood why not feeding makes you a more powerful vampire. Doesn't it make sense that feeding would make you stronger?

It would make Vampirism a lot less annoying, having to feed periodically to remain socially acceptable and what not. Plus I just feel like you should get stronger by feeding, it just makes way more sense to me.

Like, the more people you feed on, the more bonuses you can get up to a certain point. Also, feeding executions?

Lore-wise, vampires from Cyrodiil had the backwards feeding due to a pact with Clavicus Vile. Which explains the weaker when feeding thing. Now, Bethesda seemed to recycle from Oblivion and just name these vampires "Volkihar" or whatever the hell they are called. Which is pathetic.

Believe me: I'm no fan of the bastardization Hollywood and Silicon Valley have done to vampires, but, yeah, feeding should make you stronger. It seems that feeding here literally makes you less of a vampire.

the best response to this question is you have to think of vampirism as a disease and not a "super power" thing. The longer the disease goes untreated the further it advances, thus making you a stronger vampire. The way you treat the "disease" of vampirism is by feeding on blood thus almost curing the disease

In tes they feed to stay closer to their weaker human side...you mistake these vamps with their movie counterparts. It's just like turning werewolf doesn't turn you into a large wolf and then back into a shirtless teen...thank talos for that
