A few questions about smithing

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:59 am

Hello.

First post here.

I am level 50 and I have already finished the main quest. I spent a lot of points to get smithing to 100, which is quite handy btw but I have some minor complaints. First, why making dragon armor requires a smithing level of 100 while daedric armor is better (and requieres 90 iirc)?. Besides I am specialised in light armor so daedric or dragon are a no go to me. I mainly did some daedric pieces to equip my hirelings.

Another thing that puzzled me is why
Spoiler
Dawnbreaker cannot be made "legendary"?
.

Any clues?

You can make light dragon armor - you use mostly scales as opposed to bones. Light dragon armor is awesome and looks much better than that ugly glass armor.

Dawnbreaker should be upgradeable to Legendary, using an Ebony Ingot. You Smithing skill should be of apporiate level, but perhaps you need some potions or items to enhance you smithing. Something like +20% smithing on a ring or something can make a big difference between something like Flawless and Legendary. You might need some investing in Enchanting to improve your Smithing though, or some lucky loot in a dungeon (I found +20% gloves and a +12% ring, they can make a lot of difference).
