Fighting agaisnt heavy armor?

What's the best way to attack heavy armour if you have light armor, magc and sneak. I've started meeting a few now and they seem to take an age to put down? Any tips?

If you have the Mark for Death shout, use it. It makes a noticeable difference against things with high armor ratings.

I mostly play as a dual wielding warrior and i gotta say that ice spike and wall of frost ( apprentice and adept ) destruction spells kill me more than firebolt and fireball even elemental resistance was working in 1.1

You need more dmg, theres nothing in the game hard to kill if you have high dmg.

Max sneak perks (*15 dmg), use ancient shrouded armor (*2*15 dmg), now go and do one shots from the shadows :3

Yeah fire seems to do very little damage I'll try and use other spells. I'm nearly there with my sneak to get x15 damage so that'll defo help.

try paralysis or fear?

Do you mean enchanted weapons? Do you kw where I can find one with paralysis so I can learn it?

Thanks all or the help.

This is because of the slow effect and stamina drain of the frost spells, and it is the reason I use frost on my spellsword. It is extremely effective against melee characters.

No stamia = no power attack and no sprint
Slow = can't close the range/dodge blows
For frost spells IMO the damage is just gravy compared to these two effects. It is sooo much more valuable than a smidget of extra fire damage.

If you have the chance to get the drop on a few, consider placing a frost rune, recharging your magicka and then luring them across it. Frost damage drains stamina so it'll leave em weakened and possibly may slow them too.

@Udey

Fire doesn't really have extra damage at all, other then the "burning" effect. However it costs less magicka so more total shots. Ignoring resist effects, Fire works best against archers, frost works best against melees and lightning works best against mages.

Exactly, I do this before I setup for bow shots, lay down traps in front of yourself.

Um, I wasn't aware that armor blocks magick damage? I thought it only blocked physical damage (swords/maces/axes/arrows/fists)?

I just blast armored things with lighting and they seem to die fast enough. Even at level 55 Bandit Chiefs go down with 3 to 4 dualcasted Thunderbolts for me...

Armour doesn't block magicka (unless it has it as an enchantment), however mobs with heavy armor usually have more HP then those with light, which favor stamina a bit more instead. Shields on the other hand may block magic damage, depending on perks.
