Are the files packed correctly into the archive? As in, have you checked with a BSA browser?

The archive that's referred to is a BSA. The CK makes one for you when you upload to Steam workshop and puts it in Steam\Steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data.

Did it create a .bsl and .ckm file? If not, I'd try uploading again.

How does it not let you? Does it give an error?

And what files are you dragging into the archive box?

You could do as I did with my files. Enter your gamefolder, find your .esp (I assume it's an esp) and right click on it. Then you click "add to FileNameHere.rar" and upload that to Workshop.

(Nevermind the text, it's Norwegian)

Wait, scrap that. That's for uploading to Nexus.

Do this instead:
Make sure that the plugin you're trying to upload is set as Active File, then you click File --> Upload Plugin and Archive to Steam.
Then you write some info about the mod, like a description and title. Steam'll do the rest.

How do you upload your archive to the Workshop?

That's what I did at least, there might be other ways to do it.

Wait a moment, I'm going to try now...
Do you get a messagebox asking if you want to add files manually to an archive pop up when you do this?
If so, say no. If it's a small fix you won't need an archive.

I dunno how you place files in the archive, will notify you guys if I find out.

i figured out how, in your Skyrim Folder there is a program called Archive.exe if you use that program to add files it works, and creates a BSA then name the BSA to the exact name of your esp then export the BSA to your skyrim/data folder then when u try and upload to steam it will ask "Yourespnamehere.bsa already exsist's use it?"
hit yes and it works :)

Cool but what do you need an archive for actually?
It works perfectly fine as a lone .esp. (Is it for mods that use several files, like textures and meshes in addition to the .esp?)

Yeah. You need an archive when your mod contains art files.

Over a gigabyte? Holy cow, all three of mine have been like 10 KB.

It's well over one GB uncompressed. 1026 meshes and 1362 textures.
