Fill me in on some things

I am trying to figure out what it is about this game people love so much...it has a short story line that doesnt even tell much of a story..best story is told when you watch the openning video..it took me all of 3hrs to complete both sides of the story line on medium difficulty..granted it does have its fun aspects but it is the same thing over and over and over..im not completely trashing the game and i do like about 40% of the game..and i do think it will get better with time..but i am seeing so many really devoted fan post its rediculous..people praising this game like its the best thing bethesda ever released..sad thing is people just jumped on the bandwagon in the past couple months...i have been watching this game since it was announced at E3 09..i followed the development watched the videos and dev video blogs and about 40% of the game was cut during the push backs of the past 6 months..all i want to know is what people think makes the game so spectacular that they actually seem offended when someone points out its many faults...like i said i like the game and i wont give up on it but basicly if people keep priasing it in all its broken glory then the dev wont fix what we long for..a better campaign...for starters .paid 65 bucks for the game i think thats worth more than 3hrs of game play..and before people start with the "its supposed to be a multiplayer game" it takes less than 3 hrs to beat the same game in multiplayer..

The campaigns aren't the promoted or the highlighted point of the game. When people say "multiplayer" they mean VS's.

This game shows hope into the FPS field because it is different then anything else before it. It is not trying to be CoD or TF2 or Battlefield, its trying to be Brink.

I wouldn't say I'm a really devoted fan per-say however i do enjoy this game because it is different then other shooters out there.

I agree i do enjoy the game but the Multiplayer can be played in campaign mode all you have to do is select Versus mode..same as freeplay..i did co-op campaign about 5 mins ago i selected Versus i was put into a match where there were at least 3 humans on my team and atleast 3 humans on the other team...whats the difference between that and freeplay multiplayer...like i said i really like the game and it can be great but people are playing it with tunnel vision and not seeing that campaign and freeplay are exactly the same lol

and to top it all off no one ever speaks in the game...i have 2 level 16s already so i have put in some time..and i have yet to hear a single human speak a word...if people want better multiplayer they should act like it ..this is a team based game ..without communication and teamwork its not fun at all..basicly it like playing with bots..but the Bots AI is smarter than a lot of the people ive played with...

In it's Defense... there are a LOT of CoD clones out there and I'm glad Brink is not that...

BUT... CoD Did sort of pave the way for the FPS genre in the last few years and their formula is good, which is why so many games want to go down that route. :D

They're doing something right

The game itself is great with classes and teamwork in mind, and the objective play is cool too,
the multiplayer could be so much more and some small part of me begs that it was,
I mean instead of playing the same campaign maps over and over again until you get to the point you have to turn off the dialogue in the audio setting because youve heard it all before it would have been good if the maps could have been randomized,
and by randomized i mean like putting objectives in different places and calculating what class you love to use the most,
so that the game can find the most appropriate game modes for you,
Overall i like the multiplayer side of things and hate to sound greedy because i know that the guys have put alot of work into this great game.
