I understand. It happened to me in Oblivion, I was used to Morrowind's strange atmosphere and unique places design that svcked me in completely and kept me playing alarmingly many hours in a row, whereas in Oblivion the places and the questlines lacked the magic power of attraction to make me curious what's next. In Skyrim I'm not bored yet, and the game still holds me interested, not so much by the quests but especially by the dungeons design and perk system, but I just posted to tell you that I understand, I've been there and there's nothing wrong with your perception. It's a very subjective thing and it has to do with a lot of subjective parameters such as your pre-release expectations, the other games you've been playing, your disposition to suspend disbelief...I am of the opinion that being bored with a game is not necessarily a direct consequence of the inherent quality of the game. You may come back later and enjoy greatly, for instance at some point I went back to Oblivion and played the [censored] out of it, without mods. I simply found refreshed motivation.
