I don't know what did it either. Farkas starting following me everywhere after I accepted a certain quest. Anyway, for months he tagged along ruining my stealth, and backing me up in confrontations. Our relationship was such, he would annoy the crap out of me. I would shoot him in the head w/ bound bow arrow. But I must admit he save my [censored] on more that a few occasions. So yesturday when I was finally able to complete the quest which like it or not kept him at my side for months. We went our separate ways w/ mixed emotions. On the one hand he blocked me into doorways, blew my cover when trying to be stealthy, said the same stupid lines over and over...But on the other hand he was a brave comrade, that didn't think twice about going into combat, and coming to his partners aid. So what some times the only thing he was good for was a good distraction. I never thought I say this but I'm gonna miss that knucklehead. Not much. But I'll will miss him. But for now I will rejoice in my solitude. Thank God, I'm Farkas Free!!!!!!!!!

I had sven for nearly 60 hours in my first play through. He was the only one to attend my weeding. :'D What a true friend!

He's a true nord He's not afraid to go into battle and a loyal Companion (see what i did there?)

Get him as a follower so you can order him to wait somewhere safe when stealth or some finesse is required. I do it all the time with my Khajiit team. Working as a team is a lot of fun

lol had the same problem i reloaded a early save and finished the quest and he left me

actually later in the companions questline he's afraid to go any further from fear of spiders

OP he was your shield brother and was sworn to aid you on your quest but you couldve told him to meet you at the dungeon, where he wouldve waited forever for your arrival..also you can get him back as a follower if you finish the companions questline

He still fought and fights anyone after the quest.
