No, the rest of Valenwood was overthrown because the ones who supported the Dominion joined forces with the Thalmor and drove the Imperials and their Bosmer allys out. It's clear some Bosmer share their Ideals, or are getting something out of it.

And we know from Delphine that the Thalmor apparently "purge" the Woodelves there. Doesn't sound like a mutual relationship to me. Why do you think the Bosmer in the MQ is helping us? He hates the Thalmor.

I understand the facts. The thalmor still took valenwood. The fact that they had some bosmer on their side doesnt matter. The empire had bosmer on their side too.

They had quite a few bosmer on each side. Difference is, the Empire's side was caught completely off guard. I'd say that's a significant advantage, wouldn't you?

The thalmor probably got the bosmer to sympathize with them by feeding them some crap about mer dominance over men and imperial rule. They also probably neglected to mention they only meant altmer dominance. And the bosmer ate it up like candy, revolted against the empire, joined the aldmeri dominion, and now they have "purges". It may not have been a traditional military takeover, but it was a takeover none the less.

You wont catch the Nords or dunmer being this stupid.

In the end, the end of the conflict will be Morrowind, Skyrim, and Hammerfell team up to take on the Thalmor.

End result: The Thalmor and their beloved Dominion die quick and horrid deaths, and the Somerset Isles become a vacation resort for the Dunmer, Nords, and Redguards.

You continue to see it in black and white. You don't seem to care about the details of what happened at all. You should do more reading on the subject before you even speak. Valenwood doesn't simply get taken over a lot, and if you read the lore, you'd know that.

I do read the lore, and the circumstances of losing ownership of their land hardly matters.
