Find Your Purpose!

Could you all help me? I keep making characters and loving them, but once they beat their main goal I feel like they don't know what to do from there on. I just beat Companions with an Imperial Hunter who I love. Also the Mages Guild with Dumner Mage. I want to make Khajiit who is good with Destruction and Duel wielding swords/dagger, but im afraid once I beat Dark Brotherhood the same will happen to him. I want to keep a character through everything and have one I can continously play on instead of beating a major faction then feeling lost.

Any suggestion/help/advice??? :/

You probably should stop being so quest-motivated. Try role-playing: get into your character's head. What's his/her backstory? What do they want out of life? What's their moral code (not that it might not change over the course of the game)? Then explore the world. There's an incredible amount of things to do and see. I just found this beautiful river in the middle of nowhere in late afternoon. My companion and I took a break and went skinnydipping while the sun was setting. Did it advance any quest? Of course not. Did I enjoy it? Immensely. Another of my characters used to go into sneak mode and see if he could "tag" some wildlife. He actually managed to touch a deer before it ran off. Play the game, stop stessing out over the quests.
