Finding mage gear I can enchant?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 6:48 am

I need some assistance finding some robes, and a hood that I can enchant to hold me over until I get the Arch-Mage Robes. Anyone have any advice?

Any robes will do. Go to Radiant Raiment in Solitude. They'll have robes. I don't know about a hood though. I've never bought anything from there. But when you join the Mages college you get enchanted robes and hood. The last time I got a robe enchanted with fortify destruction and regen; the hood I don't remember but it was enchanted as well.

Yes but I can put a much stronger enchant on there than the ones I get from the College.. I need to lower the destruction cost and conjuration cost and perhaps illusion by a lot.

The Thieves that occasionally try to mug you on the road sometimes wear "Mage Hoods" that are unenchanted Novice hoods.

YES! At the Thalmor embassy. Most of the drops are enchanted, but if you go back a few times you can get the whole set un-enchanted.

Also, both blue and black robes are often found in forts occupied by caster-types.

I like the look of blue robes best for my mage characters. For the hood, I prefer alik'r hood. It's easier to find than mage hood, and looks better, and lighter.

Hey, we think alike! That's exactly the route I took with my mage.
