Finding more gold post 1.6?

Am I just imagining this or has anyone else noticed it? Both chests and NPCs.

I didn't notice it. Even if they changed it, I doubt I would be able to notice it.

I hadn't noticed and I hope not. It's easy enough to find a lot of gold.. and not a whole lot to do with it.
