It's a fine day with me around

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:35 am

So here I am helping the lovely Elisif the Fair place the horn on her deceased hubby's tomb and my jaw about dropped when she uttered the infamous line " it's a fine day with you around". I thought, yes, yes it is. And right back at you as well, my dear. Anywho i was hoping that the marriage option would open up with her - you know, now that she's available. I think we'd make a cute couple....high Queen and Dragonborn. Maybe that's something the developers could add to the game in future? I've been a real friend to her, and that means somthing.

I''d settle for a little more respect from Falk Firebeard and the court witch. "Do you have business at Court?". Darn right I do, bud, me and the high Queen are, you know, tight. Now will you carry my suitcase to her room?

LOL

"Now here's a man I'm glad to see."

Too bad it's not "Elisif the Fair-Game." Of course, on the PC... you could become the Queen's Consort. :hugs:

Lol...

As far as marriage options go, you should be able to marry more people. Who you can marry is already somewhat based on status, so if you're a high level character that's saved solitude from Petima, then there's no reason you sholdn't be able to marry her. OTOH, the Dragonborn isn't royal blood so that throws a wrench into it. But maybe a questline to become a royal would work. The marriage thing is kind of hollow... I know a lot of people don't like the idea of expanding it because they don't want to see it become a SIMS game; but if done properly it could be cool.

Marriage to her would be great. She's easy on the eyes as far as Skyrim characters go. Forget about moving to my place, we'll live at your place - personal chef and a wizard on call. Enchanting and alchemy tables down the hall. Servant quarters downstairs. Better yet, there's a whole wing that is haunted!

... agreed... and further - don't they see that you're already married - darn temptresses! There's a few women I wish I'd met before I jumped on Ysolda she probably gets the most proposals simply because she's available early - and often - if all the traffic coming out of Breezehome is any indication!

Re Breezehome, I've caught that little wiener Sigurd poking his nose around there. I still have my Thane's Privilege left so he had better stop nosing around!

Yes she is! She obviously listened to her mom's nagging about proper posture  . One of the few Jarl's that I like.

Meh, if she's as enthusiast for lovers comfort as she is to carry your burdens, then there won't be much "sparks" in that relationship.

OP: funny stuff. Same thing happened to me with Ingun Black-Briar. I brought her all the ingredients to win her affection and I got all excited when she uttered these words. For me these words were synonimous with wedding option. Disapointment when I found out I couldn't marry her. I have a thing for alchemists it seems: Ingun, Muiri... the Hag ;-)

If they're gonna add more lady spousal options, they need to add more male ones, too. The only passable potential husbands are Farkas and Vilkas. At least the non-descript Nord gals are pretty, unlike the dude Nords who just kinda look like a foot most of the time.

I'd like to see more marriage options, too. ...and I'd like to see us be able to have multiple spouses concurrently.

Some of the Nord guys are good-looking...they're just kinda' dirty-ish. :P

They're okay, yeah, but I find the Nord women to be gorgeous eight times out of ten. The only Nord guy I ever came around to liking was Farkas because he transformed into a werewolf and saved me from a group of evil captors. Then I just decided Vilkas was okay, too, because they're twins.

Umm...you kinda' locked yourself in there so he saved you from yourself, right? How romantic.  Team Jacob FTW!

 I'll take another look at him next time I'm in the area, but I don't recall him being particularly striking looking. I will say this: his personality is certainly striking worthy.

Yeah, I was a bit pissed off the first time I did that since I was forced to be dumb and helpless within 2 minutes of each other. I can hear Lisette now: "The Dragonborn, the Dragonborn, pretty/handsome and dumb as ever. Taken out of Skyrim by a mysterious lever."

Ha yeah, it's kind of a kick in the shins. "Well I can kill a dragon but break out of rusty iron bars? DEAR GOD WHAT DO."

Still, Farkas is adorable and awesome, so I didn't mind him sweeping my characters off their feet. :tes:

That's a great idea. If Beth had included a better reputation system then it would give more meaning to the marriage feature. Marrying into royalty would mean people are more likely to give you respect or other benefits while marrying into a crime syndicate would open up new jobs and the townsfolk would begin to fear you perhaps even rivals would try to assassinate you or something.
