After nearly 300 hrs of great joy playing this game, it was time to join a side , so I picked Leigon and went to battle against the Stormcloaks. As I said with nearly 300hrs under my belt I was really looking forward to a really big "ending" with this war. What a total let down, 1 town and about 4 forts later which were poor as in Battles, with everyone getting in the way for a fight. That aside, I was looking forward to battles on the open plains, army v army but 4 forts which were really a joke compared to the game overall, and then the final fight and killing of the leader of the Stromcloaks. Which at first I refused, so I stood back waiting for the General to kill him but he just leaned over him, after about 6-7 mins of nothing happening I killed him myself to end it.

Instead of a war between two armies, it just felt like other missions going into a fort and killnng everyone to get a Quest item.

I feel really let down by this , all through the gameplay which I loved and was thinking, if this is the "side" quests, what is the main war going to be like and as I said , for me it was a total let down.



ps ... I am struggling to go back into the game now, I really feel let down, I will give it a week or so and see how I feel.

It's such an awesome game and the civil war isn't something I wanted to do anyway because the side I wanted to support wasn't as good as I wanted...glad I haven't finished that part. I did the peace treaty right after finding the jagged crown and went on to Alduin and it feels pretty complete to me. I still want to do a little running around so I can use the Call Dragon shout and a few other new ones. I've kind of written the story in my own head and would rather plan a new character. I hope you can find a good place for yours. I'm sorry you were disappointed.
