First master difficulty build

Post » Tue Jul 17, 2012 12:22 pm

After playing a few more specialized builds and never really getting into the MQ I plan on going back to old faithful and playing a sword and board Nord warrior. I plan on trying to really RP this character and look forward to many fun nights playing him. Check out this build and let me know what you think...

Main skills
1H, Block, and light armor?

Secondary skills
Archery, smithing

This is what I have so far: http://skyrimcalculator.com/#159071

A few questions...

1. How much in archery? Not going to be a primary weapon for me, should I rely on smithing to up the power or put perks into it?

2. Even though I am using light armor, should I smith the right side for better weapons or smith the left side?

3. Should I place more perks into light armor than what I have now?

Why would you use light armor as a warrior?

All my characters use heavy for the protection it offers.

And if your only going with 5 skills you can max them all out.

Use heavy armor and stick with just steel smithing. Wolf armor and skyforge weapons are awesome for a Nord Warrior and available fairly early in the game.

Because end game light armor will reach the cap just like heavy and I like the way light looks. Early game I will count on my shield to help me.

Well if you are playing for looks why do you care if your build is good or not since that's obviously not your priority?

Because this is a RP game. There have been 1000 posts and videos how it doesn't matter if you go light or heavy because with smithing both will hit the armor cap. But hey thanks for your great input, it's been helpful....

OP, I would personally get the light armor perk that gives you an extra 25% if wearing all light armor. Makes a big difference. The perk that gives you faster stamina regen is nice, too.
