FIRST PATCH GLITCH IN THE WILD

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:28 am

When I went to longhorn ranch it divided by zero and had no collision data so i fell into the center of the earth.
My character was hopping kinda and then just fell.

Great job Bethesda for rushing the patch out that breaks more things than it solves.
Just kidding.
But props for obsidian dealing with all of bethesda's publisher related BS!
Not kidding; dialogue and story was good, some plot holes but I liked it.

Ever noticed that unreal engine games don't have many glitches; and gamebryo have several?
Maybe time to think about a new engine.
Source, Tech 5, Unreal?

Skyrm is using a new engine, I forget its name. I think it's safe to say the next Fallout game made by Bethesda will use that engine as well. Well, we can hope anyways.

Yea, they're using like Creation engine or some-such. From what I understand, it was created specifically for TES:V.

All I hope is the new engine isn't single threaded and bottlenecked to cpu.

Kuz wether you have 2 tx 570's or 4x gtx 580's you wont get a single fps increace.
Just more WIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I sincerly think 4x gtx 580's on vanilla should get more than 80 fps at all times.
I get dips in the 40's WTF!

Open world games such as TES or Fallout3/NV tend to be rather CPU intensive. Also, if I remember correctly, the games I mentioned cap at 60FPS. It's not like the difference between 40 and 60 is very noticeable.

But here's to hoping. My poor dual core is getting old. After years of being overclocked to 3.5GHz, I'm not sure how much more it can take. :sadvaultboy:
