Were they freshwater or saltwater fish, and what was the water temperature supposed to be?

Putting fish into water a few degrees difference from what they were in can cause them to go into shock and die. If you get more in the future, put them in a plastic bag or something with their original water and let the bag sit in the new water for a bit until the temperatures are the same.

Suicide pack?

I hand angelfish that would do barrel rolls in the water before they died, they used to do it for days and would just float upside down for hours before coming round and swimming away. Was odd to watch but I didn't blame them when there was a shark eating all the other fish...butit got what was coming to it when the Catfish took a growth spurt, I think it was eating other fish too, and attack the shark and ate it during the night.

This. Fish do not take temperature changes well. You should always make certain that the new water is the exact same temperature as the old water.

Wait. You changed the water? WHY?

My son has had goldfish for the past 6 years and we've never once changed the water nor the filters. We have on "svcker" fish that cleans the glass and the water is crystal clear. The reason why the water never gets changed is because it's my son's fish and it's his responsibility. Well, he barely remembers to feed them, barely remembers to add water when the level is down. So, they just sit in the same water.

Wouldn't you know it, those damn fish won't die. We even had an exterminator come in to deal with some ants and he was like, "Ahh..you might want to cover the fish tank so the pesticide doesn't get in there." and I replied, "Nah, they are immortal, go ahead, spray." and they never died.

Papa sounds like a comedy lol. Thanks people we were actually given them, but I thought very strange how they died together. Obviously it was the water then.

Papa sounds like a comedy lol....

I was being serious, that is what happened! The Shark Catfish would throw fits of sheer rage and dash around the tank hitting the glass and knocking over the scenary we had in there (It was a rather heavy big temple thing), it actually knocked ITSELF out when it rammed the glass a few time. And landed on the radiator we had in the water scarring its whole side.
My dad though it would be a good idea to end its suffering so he put it in a bag in the bin with no water, hoping it would suffocate.
Came back the next day *BANG, BANG* comes from the bin, dad pulls out the back and the damn fish is still alive after more than 12 hours out of water and in a tied bag. This leads my dad to whacking it off the wall kill it, after a swing and its head smacking the corner of the wall, still alive still wanting to flail around....3 whacks later it lay motionless.

This is actually true. I loved that fish <3

Dual ichthyoid suicide.

Most folks don't know, but this is quite common.

I blame the bowl for their depression, they wanted to be free, and the only way in their minds was through spirit. OP were the fish watching any weird videos or books about rebirth or enlightenment at the time?
