You lost me with the word FIX. It's entirely subjective that anything is broken. Big turn off when you insult a game most people really like by using the word fix. Try again in the mods forum with focus on your features which make the game better or different with less focus on what Bethesda may have done wrong and you'll be met with some happy fans instead of a lynch mob.
If you read the comments I explained that it was a poor choice of words, I'm not trying to enforce these points, I'm just giving some ideas on how they could be improved and made more coherent. I think you miss the point of my topic.
And the thing about melee not causing any stamina. It does relatively little damage compared to the power attack which does cost damage. I don't really see a need for it and I was actually glad it was removed as a mechanic.
Power attacks do 2x damage, and you can use them with 1 stamina. I just feel that having a cost with every combat skill makes the game more coherent and realistic.
And about the not having the option to use console. Again, this is a single player game. I can. What does you not having it have to do with me? It's not my problem that you knowingly bought a game which has notoriously relied on mods and console for continuous enjoyment. There's a reason they allow modding, they know they will never be able to appease everyone, so they give them the option to mod the game.
That is your opinion, I enjoy the vanilla game on xbox, which is easily the best option for me. Upgrading my pc would be a big waste of money, better things to spend it on, especially when my xbox plays it brilliantly in 1080p free of bugs (apart from magic resist that was fixed in 1.3).
However, back to my original point. The vast majority of people that play Skyrim play it as a melee character. The vast majority of people that play Skyrim are perfectly happy with their game. Only the few that come here and complain, like you, aren't.
Bethesda can't please everyone. They make a game that they think a majority (a majority is > 50%) of people that will buy the game and play it, will like. They have done that.
I think you have missed the point completely, the use of the word fix was misleading to my intentions, as I've explained above. I'm not complaining here, only offering my ideas on how I would like the game to be improved. Where is the proof that over 50% play skyrim as a melee warrior?
Edit: And wasn't your original argument having to deal with "balance" of playing on master? Just slide the difficulty down to expert. They designed it to where you can play it on whichever difficulty you want, and then, if it's too tough, slide it down, if it's too easy, slide it up. Heck, you can even do it in the middle of a fight. Just because YOU are having issues doesn't mean everyone else is. Me? I svck at master. I play the majority of my game on Expert. I've even slid it down to...adept? I can't remember the name of the one below Expert. But I have slid it down to there for a certain fight because I couldn't beat it. That's the point of the difficulty slider.
I've made a character that is basically a merchant that goes out and gets his own loot to sell. He's heavily perked into speechcraft. I have to play him on the middle one because he's not able to compete with someone who focuses on combat skills.
No it wasn't, thats not my point at all. Most of the points will be an issue on any difficulty level, for example the destruction stagger perk is overpowered IMO, it should be reduced to 50% chance to stagger rather than 100%. You are affected by that on all difficulty levels, again you have missed the point.
