FlashingWater Sound?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 4:41 am

So i've been getting this weird Skyrim Flicker Sound, and it seems to happen especially near water and makes a "water" sort of sound.
It's described as well here:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=215607

Anyways It also seems to make the water level rise JUST a bit.

The thing is......I don't have SLI, I only have ONE 570GTX, and it DOES seem to happen when my FPS goes up really high (like 120 or greater). I also get those Green flash in caves when my FPS goes into the 200's and such. I have everything on max.....so....I don't really know.

But my question is. this seems to happen to people with SLI......I only have one card, is it possible that I have SLI "turned on" with only one card that's causing this.

I also seem to get the Glitch where you hear a LOUD banging noise inside houses and such sometimes. Im assuming this is probably related?

Any thoughts? and yes I have the newest Nvidia drivers, although I heard the newest ones have an FPS Limiter.....so I might try that, because Vsync seems to drag the game down a bit.

I got the flashing screen with sound cutting off too, thought it was a mod issue.
I only got one GFX card, so no SLI for me.

Banging noise should go away if you enable V-sync.
For the moment I am running without v-sync because I have a 120Hz monitor and get rid of the 64hz bug (at least I got rid of the microstutter...)

I get water flicker with V sync enabled sometimes and what you describe normally after fast traveling to an area near the coastline. It is the only graphical issue that I suffer from at all. I read somewhere it has to do with water collision.
Going inside a cell or traveling away and back will normally fix it for me and this is the only issue I have experienced from release all the way until today and though every driver version that has been released since. For me it is occasional but it is there. I have tried disabling water reflects and the issue still occurs same can be said for the HD texture pack either or it happens.
