Flickering and Low FPS : V

hey i am having some problems with skyrim. I am getting low FPS on high and ultra. I am getting around 40-50 FPS on low. I am also having some flickering in the menus, and on some of the characters faces
Here is my build
CPU: AMD FX-4100 (4 cores at 3.6ghz turbos to 3.8)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 6870 1gb ram. Crossfired
Motherboard: Biostar TA990FXE AM3+ AMD 990FX
PSU: 800 watt coolermaster silent series. 80gold
RAM; 4gb x2 @1600mhz

Did you try disabling Crossfire? A single 6870 should be plenty enough for this game.

Apparently Xfire and SLI can cause problems in Skyrim.

After i turned off crossfire i was getting 60FPS on high and around 48FPS on ultra. Is their any news of crossfire support for skyrim?

Crossfire support depends a lot on AMD's driver profiles. I have been out of the Crossfire realm for about 2 years now, and back then Crossfire for Oblivion/FO3 was terrible. I find a single graphics card much less of a hassle.
