First of, im no computer-wiz, just so you know, and second, I know there are tons of threads about buggy shadows, but this seems different. Anyway, recently there have been a large "piece" of shadow constantly casting flickering shadows on objects to my characters lef side. When I turn and move around, this piece of shadow follows. It seems almost like an object or something is hovering above my character.. What i have tried so far is creating a new game, uninstall all mods and deleting them from the data folder and reinstall the game, but the shadow is still "hanging" around. Any ideas on what caused this and how to fix it? Did I break the game trough moding, or is this a new bug from 1.5

Same exact issue, I think. This only happens in 3rd person, right, and in first person, you just get flickering shadows all round?

Yes! Thats exactly how it is! Also, when I go under water, i cant see [censored]. in 3rdperson i cant even se my character. All i see is a muddy green color. I tought 1.5 would enhance water. Now it feels more like im swimming in a sewer! I tried to mess a little with the shadow prefs on skyrim.ini, but that didn't work either. Im starting to think that 1.5 have messed up big time, even more so since it seems like you Dragonbone has the same problem..

Yes, they seem to be linked, the shadows and the water issue, my situation is also the same in this regard.

If it's the flickering with the black lines, and it kinda strobes from light to dark as you move or turn, then it's a known issue with no fix as of yet.

Thanks for the heads up. If there is a problem with the shadow textures, i really hope that Beth will fix them soon, because right now, the game is unplayable for me.

Ok, some time has passed, I have tried everything, and the problem is still there. The fps drops severly when I record gameplay, but you get the point about what im dealing with)

That's really messed up. I was annoyed with odd shadows just flickering on my char itself. Hard to explain, just bits of shadow that are constantly moving.. even if I'm facing the sun in an open field. Hopefully they work it out. I keep watching for mods that tackle shadow issues. The only one I've seen so far is one that is tackling interior shadows.
