There are other flying creatures in Tamriel, but I know of no other flying mounts.

Lore-wise, (tame) dragons used to be used as mounts, as described http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Starlover%27s_Log.

There are also Dwemer airships but since the Dwemer became extinct a very long time ago I would not expect there to be many left, and even less people who know how to fly one.

There used to be a time all Tamriel mages knew levitation.
Sadly, for unfathomable reasons this amazingly fun and incredibly useful mechanic has been left out of the game the past two iterations, much to the chagrin of people like me.

Suddenly I would say every mage was dropped on the head and lost the ability to levitate.
Then I am not sure what happened to them in Skyrim, maybe a catapult to the head.
Mages have been eviscerated beyond belief, I detest how magic has been ripped apart these last two games.

I kill dragons, i don't want to fly on one. I also think it will completely destroy
the game, kind of like the same way (and sry for mentioning another mmo here)
like mounts did with World of Warcraft. The depth and beauty of the landscape is totally
gone. You are basically flying over the terrain and not with it. Yes, it's a fast way getting from
A to B, but at what cost? Anyways, my opinion, implement it, tough, never going to use it:)

The dragons have put me under their spell. Now they can fly me to their feeding grounds and eat me. While this awesome song plays. Well, the awesome cover version...

thanks for the response :)
i personally dont think flying mounts ruined WoW ,
but i get what your saying about the graphics changing once your up in the air .
what if bethesda changed that some how , they have the capabilities to do it.
for me i get bored of just killing dragons and allot of ppl and myself would like to ride one, i get a bit bored of shadowmere ,
ive seen a mod on pc called "summon Dragonling" and it basically is a baby dragon that you can control and it flies around .
that my preference i guess :)
