Now I admit times are hard and maybe Im a little biased as I am a grownup with a decent salary.But I have to say Ive never seen any place where 60-80 dollars spent could generate so much complaining!
Ive gone to crappy movies with my family for about that price and only get 2 or so hours of entertainment.
Ive had crappy meals at restaurants for far more money than that.
Ive lost that much at casinos in about ten minutes...

I put 200 hrs into fallout 3 and plan to do the same in NV,glitches freezes and all because you know why? ITS NOT THAT MUCH MONEY .The ratio of fun hours to money spent is incredible....

Agree entirely. Just about to hit 100 hours on F:NV and still a lot to do, even before replaying. For ￡35 it's about as good a bargain as I can think of.

I agree totally with you. I read all these negative posts and just can't understand it.

Then it hits me every time.. the thought that perhaps a majority of the people whining
are in the 18-25 age bracket and $60 is what's in their bank account. I can't see any
other reason making sense...

i'm 16 and i make more than enough to not have to pay any bills but on a amc worker i make enough to be able to buy the game and still think that ots amazing.

Full of bugs and glitches, broken quests, but never the less(and I say this very rarely with bug ridden games), I believe it to be a very good investment, I pre-ordered the collectors edition for pc and certainly don't regret it.

To some people, it is a lot of money. However, it's your choice to pay full price for it, and if you do so and then (for example) complain about the ending when it was detailed in interviews/reviews available before release you've only got your bad purchasing decisions to blame. Same goes for bugs - I think every review mentioned them, so if you didn't read/ignored them and bought something you couldn't afford anyway then more fool you. I love the game personally; definitely a good investment for me!

I've got a different impression. From what I've seen in the forum people questioning their money's worth are those that have serious game breaking issues and can't play. The rest might preffer FO3 over FNV but still admit having a lot of fun playing FNV.

I would probably agree if the mandatory Steam registration wasn't so much so much an obstacle (big dl even from disc version, Steam's horrible patching system just to name a few) to me buying the game.

Personally I'm hoping that the GOTY will be kind enough so I can think about getting the game. then I'd get the collector's edition as well.

here lies the answer to life, universe, and everything about the complaints in this forum.

If there was any evidence that they spent a reasonable amount of resources on QA'ing this game, I don't think you would see some much negativity. They spent about 1000X more $$$$$$ on marketing than making sure they released a quality product. And in an industry where there are no refunds its unconscionable. That said - It is a really great game. Too bad it crashes constantly on thousands of very stable PCs. Not to mention the hundreds of obvious gameplay bugs it released with (oh we'll patch it later after we get a million free beta testers).

Yes I've put almost 60 hours in it is fun, but that doesn't mean we can't complain about bugs ruining the experience.

This attitude is exactly why these games cost as much as they do. Its also the reason game developers feel they no longer need to gaurentee quality....becuse people will roll over, take it in the shute and keep buying more. Well $60 bucks is not alot now but its gonna add up quick if we dont piss and moan every time our freshly purchased games turn out to be crap. So to all thaose who are not "grown up and making a decent salary" keep up your rants and lets help get the problem solved.

A thread complaining about the complainers doesn't really serve any purpose.
