fnv needs a little zest of the boomers

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 1:51 pm

Anyone else feel like new vegas needed a metaphorical megaton. I mean I want to blow up a [censored] load of people and idiots crowding around it lol sounds so mean but yet so sweet.
When I saw the teaser I thought we would get to blow up new vegas. I did every side mission and never once got to cause the destruction we did then. Besides seting c4 and mines all over caesars camp that is. All im saying is in the next few dlcs I want a big boom that would make a boomer crap his pants.

Anyway what do you guys think? Were you satisfied with the biggest explosion being maybe fly me away.

I think the thing that made that mission in F3 wasn't the fact you got to make a huge explosion, but that you committed something completely, 100% wrong and evil. It probably is the most defining act of evil in any of the games. In F:NV you can do terrible things in general but there is no large decision you can make that is purely evil (even Caesar's legion has some virtue to it). However, some may say that's a good thing and prefer having to solely work with shades of grey.

Besides Boomers can carpet bomb the enemy depending how you deal with them. That is pretty zesty, still just make a save on Fallout 3 before you nuke megaton, that way when you are getting boom withdrawal just load that up.

Speaking of Boomers.
I thought they were a big disappointment.
When I heard the name "Boomers" and that they blow up everyone that gets too close to them, I was thinking of bearded bigass men wearing leather and denim and don't give a crap about other people besides themselves. Pretty much what the great Khans turned out to be, but with Bigass guns and explosives.

What I got was ... some grandma with some whiney followers and old people, of which one was in love with some girl and was just a whiney whiner.
The fact that they had an actual plane with actual bombs was pretty awesome, but I'd have liked it much more if they were badass guys with beards and a good taste for booze and cigars.
Also, wtf was with those vault suits?

Well with regards to the Vault Suits, they actually tell you about them at the bases 'Museum'.

I was quite happy with the biggest explosion being
Spoiler
the Boomers carpet-bombing the Dam from a B-29 during the final battle

I also particularly did not miss the game's "big boom" being Michael-Bay-gratuitous like Megaton, done solely for giggles.

I swear to god, if this game has anymore explosions in this or any future Fallout games, I would be led to see 'Fallout:As presented by Micheal Bay'.

Wow. Well I felt cheated that I couldn't at least blow it all up. You know how evil it be to blow up new vegas.
