My follower is a bandit...

Yeah, I found this place Nilheim and there are a bunch of bandits who're labeled as "Guard" in the tower there. I know they're part of the quest http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Telrav%27s_Request and upon completion of this quest they turn hostile and attack you.

Well I found a rather striking Khajiit "Guard" there and decided to tame him for my own purposed via console command. I made him a follower, scaled him up a bit to make him look like a brute and now I've got a huge "Guard" following me, it's great.

However, whenever I dismiss him he goes completely apecrap and kills everything around him except for me. If I complete the mission and the others turn on me, he does as well but only once I've dismissed him. I assume this is because he's part of a bandit faction or something. Can anyone tell me how if possible to view an NPCs factions via console and how I might be able to free him from this violent group?

If I do the companions or something and they forcibly replace my follower, I don't want the big lug smashing every skull in town on his way back to the camp...

EDIT:
Here's a picture for fun, also when I dismiss him and he's done killing everyone I can't get the dialogue option for him to follow me again, not sure what that's all about.

Well if you used the console comand "addfac" then its probably normal that you're having problems because on the info about the comant it says " May cause undesired and buggy AI behavior." So I dont think there is a solution really :/

Try making a bat file with this
StopCombatRemoveFromAllFactionsSetRelationShipRank Player 4AddToFaction 0005A1A4 4AddToFaction 0005C84D 4SetPlayerTeamMate 1setav confidence 4

Call it follower.txt and throw it in your data folder. In game open console click on your guard and type 'bat follower' without the quotes. Then dismiss him and see if he still runs amok.

I'll try that right away, thanks.

Okay, so I did the BAT file and it seemed to work but he was still attacking everything. So I set his aggression level to 0 and he stopped, so I think that's taken care of but when I dismiss him I have trouble getting the dialogue to come up again to follow. Is that just something I have to deal with or is there a way to fix it?

How about hiring Kharjo of the Khajiit caravans? Would be less problems then.

I fixed that problem, I just set his aggression to 0 and he's calm as a kitten. As for as Khajaro, I had him before this fellow actually, he's just boring.
