Follower Battles! Who Wins?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:15 pm

So who is the best follower?

Or rather who would win in a fight? Here is some data I have collected. ( My level = 54 )

Mjoll (Lev 40) vs Jordis the Handmadien (Lev 50)

With both of them wearing heavy armor and at well over Max Damage Resist (Max is 567 or 576 cant remember) and using max improved weapons ( Have the smithing perk, 100 smithing, and 4 +29% smithing items and +130% smithing potion)

Mjoll with 2hd Glass Axe vs Jordis with 1hd Glass sword and Shield --- Winner = Mjoll (Close fights)

Jordis with 1hd Glass Axe - Winner = Mjoll
Jordis with 2hd Glass Battle Axe - Winner = Mjoll

All close, long fights.

Mjoll vs Aela = Winner : Mjoll ( Aela gets owned hard )

Mjoll vs Lydia = Winner Mjoll (Lydia gets embarrased )

Mjoll vs J'Zargo @ Lv 54 = Mjoll ( No contest )

Mjoll vs Vorstag = Mjoll ( Tougher fight )

Note followers dont always level correctly so you may need to reset them so they are equal/max level

Console commands: ( Open console, click target, then type command )

getav damageresist - Shows Armor value

getlevel - Shows target's current level

getav health - Shows Health

getav onehanded - Shows One Handed skill level

getav twohanded - Shows Two Handed Skill level

prid xxxxx - Prints follower ID, where xxxx is their specific RefID ( Look them up on UESP )

moveto player - After using the print ID command makes the follow teleport to your current location.

So just grab a follower and run out into the middle of nowhere for a private match, and then summon another companion, equip them both so they have an equal fight or are using the equipment they have the skill for (one handed vs two handed ) and then FIGHT! ( Some followers can be told to fight other followers, some cant, but if you start the fight from stealth using a very low damage spell you should stay out of the fight )

So what are your results? WHO IS THE BEST FOLLOWER IN SKYRIM!!!!??

The Ranged attacker, because their AI actually seems to make sense while the melee attacker will ignore the big nord with a sword and attack the closest hostile chicken.

But in all seriousness, Cicero.

I ran a few matches of Mjoll vs Illia.

Illia had 520 Damage Resist ( Best I could do for now) 1hd Glass sword and dagger.

Out of 3 matches - Winner = Mjoll ( No losses ) And never dropped below 70% Health, so I doubt Illia having 50 more damage resist would make a difference.

I would be interested in knowing if there is a single follower that can beat Mjoll in single combat. So far Jordis has come the closest

Mjoll is a boss. Shame she is so chatty and has Aerin the Derp following her every footstep.

With the armor I've given Marcurio, he's a tough cookie to take down. He'd easily take down Mjoll IF he could get in at least a few spells before she got within melee range.

I just tried Borgakh the Steel Heart, and Mjoll embarrased her.

Also keep in mind, she is a Nord and thus has 50% resistance to Frost, so Mages arent as scary as you would think.

Is Mjoll a higher level than the others? I'd make the followers part ways, disable them, and then enable them. I've heard that resets their level to yours. Then give them identically balanced gear, completely unimproved and unenchanted (except for mage robes, of course).
