Hello everyone,

I've been beefing up Sven as my meatshield for my master playthrough (my first also) and I ended up in the drinking contest in Whiterun that landed me post-binge in the temple in Markanth. Well, Sven is no where to be found. I checked RiverRun and he's not in his house or in town. He's not in the pub in Whiterun either... is there a console command to get him back or do I just assume I'll never see him again?

Or, does he show up after I complete the binge quest and track down the SOB that worked me over?!?!

Just thoughts,

-He could possibly be stuck and trying to run all the way to you. (That happens with me and Lydia)
-You could finish the quest then see then.
-Wait/sleep 1 Week.

If no results then I'm sorry I don't know :S

Find his ID number (look it up on the wiki) and you can do a player.moveto [Sven's number] to get teleported to his side. I did this with Erik the Slayer when I lost him and it put me next to... nothing. He had just disappeared from the game and perhaps this is what happened to Sven.

Having said that, Sven is horrible. He never levels beyond 20 and his skills pretty much never go up and they are very low. Especially if you're playing on Master Sven is one of the worst followers you could have. Only a few followers level up to 50 (the Housecarls, the Companions, a few others) so use one of them.

EDIT: I should have been more thorough. Enter it just like above, the first part hit Enter, then the second part, hit Enter.

Great advice, thank you. I have a lot more to learn about the mechanics of the game... I just assumed that all followers leveled with the player... stupid assumption I guess. I'm a die hard Fallout player where things are quite a bit simpler. I never played Morrowind or Oblivion either so I'm a noob in this universe... haven't played since Daggerfall... ahhhhh, the Daggerfall days.

Thank you sir! Looks like I'll just be grabbing his equipment and finding a new follower. I'm playing a mostly evil thief so I'm not sure using a companion is RP appropriate... are there any tanks in the thieves guild to recruit? ;-)

Is he dead? If so, you can open the console window again and then just click on him with the cursor and then type the word resurrect to revive him. That is of course, if he is in fact dead, and you want him alive again.

EDIT: Oh, and you're more than welcome, just glad I could help.

You can use the console commands disable and then enable to reset him, that should then update him to your current skill level.

Here's a good link to most of the console commands . . .
