Are there follwers? If there are could they possibly add to (possible) multiplayer?

I'd personally like to see a couple of followers...

I'm with King of the Wastes...what are you talking about? What do you mean by follower? Do you mean Down-Loadable Content (DLC)? If so, then I don't think this topic has been addressed by id or gamesas. I think ID intends for RAGE to be a new IP which will be licensed to another gaming studio to develop follow-up releases, but whether they will be totally new games i.e. U RAGE TOO, or just new content has not been mentioned.

Rockn Roll, I meant followers as companions, other characters who help you during your traveles in the ruins of the planet.

King of the Wastes, I'm just talking about playable in game characters that travel with you and fight along side you.

Uhm...as King of the Wastes pointed out...RAGE is a multiplayer game. Although there will be Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) which give you quests or sell you stuff, so far the indication is that there will not be any of them which assist you in fighting or whatever...because that is left to the other players in the game. If you want followers then you can have them by making friends in the game, or if your existing friends get the game and join the server you are playing on.

With RAGE coming so close to completion it's starting to get very frustrating that there is a lack of support on the forums by gamesas or idSoftware or information in the news about the details of RAGE that can answer these kinds of questions. Compared to the details released for other games, RAGE gets a score of 2 on a scale of 1 being the worst and 10 being the best.

Thank-you, I've been running through the internet trying to find a hint of something like followers... Are their going to be different multiplayer worlds? If not how are you going to have all of those people in one world.

I agree it's frustrating having id Software work on a game for seven years and barely give us enough information about it to judge whether it's a good setting or not.

Followers are confirmed. You see, the bad guys want to kill you. So they follow you around until they achieve this!
