So, I'm aware that you can have both a dog, and a companion. But, I'd like to have the option for more so that I could actually make an appropriate party of a rogue and mage. I'm already a tank. Could use an archer too! So, considering I'm not asking anyone to build such a mod, would anyone know of existing mods that actually work, that they could recommend?

Thanks.

You can do this in game to some extent. Some of the people you do quests for will add themselves to your party while you go about their business. If you never make it to the destination....... You could potentially have a group of 10 or so, if you include summoned Dremora, spectral assassins, etc.

Ah, yes. I'm technically doing that to an extent. I have the character you're supposed to lead to get eaten by cannibals. However, I want to actually add more, like I did with Mjoll. I miss my mage from Riften. And being an Argonian, I finally found the one and only Argonian follower too. Gets kinda lonely being a lizard in a cold land, you know?

It has its moments, though, being a sword and board warrior, my Argonian paladin has plenty of stamina. ;P

Fighting undead in the name of Meredia, and spreading love through the actions of Mara, really do help. However, still would be nice to have a few companions by his side. Jenassa joined the Blades, and since then he hasn't seen her. And his mage friend from Riften has been waiting for him. Mjoll is a great friend, but she talks soooo much.

In all seriousness though, any idea if the characters who join the blades, lose their earlier roles? Thought if I did get the more followers mod, I'd pick up Jenassa again.

I don't know, Tris. I don't use followers - can't stand it.

Oh? How so? Talking too much? Mjoll does that. I'll be finding out info about a new mission and she'll be blathering on about her mother in the background.

That, plus the pathing stupidity, plus I'm just a loner. In no game I've ever played (beginning in 1985) have I ever been able to stand a "companion/follower". Just.... no.

I dunno about Serethil, but I can't stand followers because:

1. They like to step on traps.
2. They like to run directly between me and enemies, and then yell at ME for the fireball/arrow/battleaxe to the face they get as a result.
3. They like to block narrow doorways and trap you in corners.
4. Some of them even like to shove you, when it's convenient.
5. They like to run off and fight anything that comes in range, even if it doesn't aggro.

That's just some of the reasons, TBH...

QFT! I just sort of lumped most of that under "the pathing stupidity"....

I actually get bored in MMOs if I don't have at least a buddy to go with me, but at least there you generally can't injure people in the same party with you, and you can just walk right through people. Yeah, it's not realistic, but it sure is convenient...

I always turn off friendly fire in Dragon Age, and I might consider using followers here if that option was available... On second thought, no, the pathing stuff is just too much on its own.

Yah. That's the other thing - I can't believe they haven't got the "friendly fire" rule. Unimaginably stupid. But yep - bottom line is the pathing is even MORE than unimaginably stupid.

And I really hate grouping even with family in mmorpgs. I just don't want to be bothered. I don't play games to mess about with other people.... too much like real life for me.
