Followers that are EEEVVVIILLLLL...

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:28 am

Currently trying to RP a Dunmer Death Knight type role. I would like to journey with a follower since I forsook them on my first playthrough since I was steath type. Problem is, everytime I try to murder someone for their souls or do something dastardly, my follower Faendel (sp?) turns on me. I sent his do-gooder butt home crying but now I am looking for a suitable follower to revel in my evil ways, preferably a mage-type character.

Please tell me they exist in the game or do I have to tell them "WAIT HERE FOOL" everytime it's soul-stealing time?

Thanks in advance for any input.

EDIT: Spelin is hard.

Well one would not want to post spoilers but if you go quest in some forts and places like that more colorful and interesting companions can be found along the way.

All of the mercenaries that you pay 500 gold to hire, they will do anything you tell them. Steal, assault someone, whatever. The guy upstairs at the inn in windhelm sounds closest to your character.

Or for that matter, pretty much any other follower. Faendaal seems to be more of a goody two shoes than most.

Spoiler
Faendal will refuse to commit crimes, and will attack you if you are caught committing crimes. Faendal will also attack the player any time that the player is an aggressor, even if the player is ambushing bandits or other villainous characters.

Thanks again!

The one companion you mentioned in your spoiler. They do not attack me for going at bandits or other enemy npc's. Im an archer who always gets the first hit in unseen and never had a problem with him.

Did you take Faendal to the shrine and murdered him for the Boethiah quest? I never figured out how to do that quest. Sorry for being off-topic here.

On topic, i personally prefer not to take any companions. They are boring, they get on the way, they mess up my strategy... no thank you!

The second follower you mentioned is my companion, and I've also never had problems. Whenever we get in combat, he'll get some distance and use his bow to help me. He also watched me steal some supplies and only told me I shouldn't do it, but didn't come at me - maybe because we're on good terms?

I have found Aela the huntress to be quite a useful follower- at least for my warrior. She does what's most useful for me most of the time- hangs back and shoots the bad guys with arrows while I am up in their face slashing away and taking the punishment. In fact, she seems to to hang back even when I am also hanging back shooting arrows. She doesn't seem to like to engage in close quarters melee, and thus, is never really "in my way". Also, while there are probably followers who are better at sneaking, she's good enough that she only rarely gets me caught before I'm ready to strike.

All in all, I think she is one of the best followers in the game.

I agree.. Eola is pure evil.

I made an evil character and made her my follower right off the bat. I think she is more evil then me..lol..

She seems to enjoy adding insult to injury.

Also Cisero is pretty twisted, but ya gotta do the dark bother hood main quest 1st.
