Are there any in the game? Or does the character already know everything cookable right from the start. I ask because i really need to limit my stealing habits.

I think you already know them all yes. Veggie soup is all you need anyway. Points in stamina are useless.

all my points went into stamina so far on a lvl6 char :D what about Beef Stew, it looks twice as strong as the soup.

That's fine if you're not roleplaying a vegetarian! lol I kid.
Don't think the 2 points instead of 1 per second make a difference for power attacking which you can do constantly anyway. But for running around it helps. (At the cost of 1 health/sec that Veggie soup gives)

Homecooked meal is probably the best which is only given by your spouse once a day. Regenerate all 3 stats by 25/sec for 10 minutes.

All the recipes are here http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Cooking and they are known at the start. Theres a few other recipes you can find like those in the book Uncommon Taste but even after reading the book they don't appear as options when cooking. Some of the ingredients aren't available in game anyway. I find Elsweyr Fondue useful for a mage but not worth buying Moonsugar just to make it.
