How do you feel about healthy eating?

Do you try to avoid fast food?

Do you eat at least 5 fruits a day?

Share some opinions please.

Not healthy in the slightest. I usually only eat one meal a day and it's probably something [censored] from one of the food courts at school. But I have a kitchen now (apartment) so I have used it a number of times to make real food and I'm going to be using it more.

That would be easy if I didn't not like the taste of fruit, so I eat other healthy stuff and plenty of veg

I don't necessarily eat 5 fruits a day (or vegetables for that matter), but I don't fill my body with empty calories and such. I still manage to keep a good immune system, stay awake/alert, and not become obese, so I suppose I'm doing alright.

I get a good mix of food. I eat fruit when we have it, but not five times a day. I have fast food maybe once a month. My biggest problem was constant snacking, which I am fixing. Now I try to just eat my meals without snacking between, most of the time it works and I wont be hungry. But if I have to have something I'll at least find something that's not Oreos/ice cream/chips ect.

Relatively healthy. I eat plenty of fruit and vegies and most of the stuff I eat is low-fat. I just tend to eat too much bread (I'm a svcker for baked goods and bread). I eat the normal 3 full meals a day and most of the stuff I snack on is fruit.

I don't think I eat 5 portions a day every day, but I do eat fruit and veggies often. I work funny hours which stops me eating regular meals (I don't have a proper dinner mid-week unless I'm off work usually), but I don't starve, or overeat.

That may change when winter rolls around though - I love wintery comfort food like stew and dumplings. Although that stuff will still have veggies, so it's not too bad though. I'm lucky that I don't have a sweet tooth, but I do love my carbs a little too much.

I love fruit, I usually have a few pieces a day. I rarely have proper regulated meals though.

I'm not bothered. I'm young. I'll worry about eating healthily when my current life-style forces me to later.

I eat sh*t. Not literally.

The problem is I there's not many options when I'm on my lunch break, because there's just fast food places. I am eating at a sushi place for lunch today, so there's that!

I eat whole bags of graqes, sometimes.

I love fruit.

I gave it away to my co-workers. I do that with most of my baked good. I do it more for practice than consumption.

Where do you work? :P

Healthy eating should be promoted more

Fast food is nice but shouldn't be eaten too often

No but I eat probably just below 5 different fruit but eat 1 or 2 of a type of fruit a day

Next question pl0x

I eat pretty healthy. I have cut out almost all junk food from my diet, and eat mostly fruits, vegetables, and seafood anymore. I tried going full vegetarian (twice), but it just wan't working out. Still, I don't feel living eating shrimp, and the occasional plate of chicken is too bad.

I'm probably the exact opposite of a healthy eater. My usual meals consist of some kind of fast food/delivery, and I only typically eat one meal a day. I'd like to eat healthy, but groceries these days are so expensive, and I'm not a great cook anyway.

You don't need 5 fruits a day to be healthy. From my food I aim to hit a certain amount of calories, and it mostly comes from rice, pasta, milk and meats, and I take a multi vitamin pill everyday to make sure I get all my vitamins (and a Vit C pill too). The last time I ate fast food was last week during my 1 week break, and before that it was some months ago. I was surprised how much calories the burger had. Definitely for one off occasions.

I love fruits and veggies and eat them everyday. Once in a while I'll eat out if I'm on the road or dont feel like cooking at home.

My diet consists mostly of vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and fruits that won't interfere with my medication abosorpotion.
I rarely finish a meal. I also have a daily and weekend exerscise regiment, as well as gardening. As for healthy, I am much more so than most of my middle aged counterparts.
I have thryoid disease and PCOS, so eating healthy, and exerscising are vital for me just to attain status quo.
It can be extremely frustrating dealing with ignorant people, who assume that the issues people with thryoid disease and pcos suffer is due to laziness, lack of self control, or some sort of internal moral failure.
I have become quite adept at ignoring well intentioned and asinine advice from those sorts.

My father has for years insisted that I eat healthy food, and it has caught on a bit. However, usually I don't really care what I eat - it's news if I eat sufficiently by own initiative anyhow, I might go days with a single loaf of bread daily. Thus I'm underweight.

Sometimes I reward myself with treats, although because my work is quite physical I consume a lot of energy so I can keep on.

What do I think about healthy eating? What's there to say about it?

My intake would probably be considered pretty healthy. My normal breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal with a fair amount of dried fruit in it, with orange juice. On the weekends there's generally a large batch of some quinoa/brown rice/other grain mix stir friend with mixed vegetables and eaten through the week. Aside from the oatmeal I typically eat at least one piece of fresh fruit per day and often have other sources of vegetables aside from the grain; I like the taste of most, so I don't have to struggle to eat them. I'll eat steamed broccoli with nothing on it. I eat fish at least once a week. The rest is usually supplemented with frozen items like frozen meals, sometimes I make spaghetti, etc. Not perfect, but not bad. I really can't remember the last time I ate fast food.

Not that it seems to do me any good. My health is a constant disaster, digestive system included.

I think it's good for people to try and eat healthy, but that it's also good to let people live as they wish, as long as they're educated on the subject. It bugs me to no end when people ascribe morality to their diets and feel compelled to give sermons to all those sinners eating junk food. It doesn't help that these people are seldom as knowledgeable on the subject as they think.

I exercise daily, and tend to avoid things high in trans fat. I consume a lot of carbs however, as I need it to do the exercising that I do. My diet and exercise routine compliment themselves. I stay pretty muscular that way. I'm not slim, not in the slightest, I'm 6 foot and I weigh about 215, but most of that is muscle. I have a little extra toppings on my waste, but it's no big deal and I'm comfortable with it.

I tend to eat 4 meals a day, with small 100 calorie snacks in between. I consume around 1700-2000 calories a day, but burn around 900 during exercises/sports.

I don't want to be "thin", I want to have a masculine presence and a built body, which is what I have.
