I've only checked Play.com and Game.co.uk for now, the second still doesn't have pre-order bonuses.

I did a quick search to see if there was already an open topic on the subject but couldn't find it, but of course, if there is moderators feel free to close this one.

At least a bit of a silver lining. But they still don't have the Collector's edition. Game and Gamestation at least have that, but like you said, they don't offer the pre-order packs along with it.

Yes, yes and YES! I wanted the Caravan pack the most! I guess putting off pre-ordering has paid off!

Not in England. Though, from what I've heard about Gamestop, they are similar to GAME in that they are obsessed with trying to rip off customers... <_<

We have Gamestops in Southern Ireland, but I don't know if we get preorder bonuses.

Is it just me or is anyone else glad we aren't getting these bonuses?

I mean as nice as they are, I would prefer to go out into the wasteland and earn my weapon and armour or steal it from somebody rather than just being handed a weapon/clothes and being patted on the head.

I suppose it's better than some pre order bonuses which give you powerful weapons straight away.

True, but they're hardly that powerful. Marginally upgraded would be a better description

I guess you're right there. But even though being given good items to start with is a bit annoying, I like the look of the Lightweight Leather Armour so much that if I have to pre-order for it, then so be it.

And personally, I don't think the armours will be that much better than the Vault 21 Jumpsuit (or at least the armoured version). After all, they are 'lightweight'.

Does anyone know what the Vault 13 Canteen will actually do? I can't think of anything... maybe hold more water? Sorry if it's been confirmed what it does, but I can't find any information.

It will hold water in hardcoe mode but it's unknown if you can find one without the pre order bonus

You have to pre-order from Gamestop to get it -- it says on the picture that it's *pre-order exclusive*. That's a shame to me, as I intend to play hardcoe Mode, and I don't think it's fair that Gamestop get 3 pre-order exclusives and others get two. But meh.

Thanks, I guess your're probably right about Play still getting the CE. Still, I personally would prefer to have the Vault pack, if possible, so I think I'll also wait and see if another shop will get that one.




Germany does, but I want the English version.

For me the thrill of going out into the wasteland and looking around peoples houses and stuff basically making the best of what I can will be much more fun.It adds a whole hour or so to the game. I doubt your missing too much

This trend of pre-order bonus has to stop.Anyone else sick of missing out on content, even if its small?
By the time the exclusive stuff is finally released for most games im done playing it anyway.Fallout is special...im really anol about collecting everything.I have not had to pre-order a game to guarantee myself a copy since GTA 3(back when stores ran out of copies).

A few games I have even had all of the content already on the disc...just locked for a few months until the buzz died down.If I buy a disc I own my share of whats on it!

You're right, of course, and I'm now kind of on the fence about pre-ordering. It's just that I care a lot about looks, and I think wearing a Vault suit makes me look like a gimp. The Lightweight Leather looks so cool, and this is the only way I can get it, sadly.

Though, to be fair, I don't think a lightweight piece of armour and what I assume to be a below-average shotgun will take much fun away from the beginning of the game. I'll still be looking around for water and food to survive, and the enemies will probably be too hard for me anyway even with the upgraded equipment.

The only thing I don't like too much is the 4 Repair Kits. Now, I love the new Repair mechanics, but I think 4 of them is a bit too much -- I'd prefer 2. As you said, part of the fun is looting everything you can find, just to keep a weapon in shape. But I suppose I'm being picky -- I could just drop two of them.

No pre-order bonuses there but they have the Collector's Edition (at an incredibly high price IMHO).

Word! GAME is selling the CE at a ludicrous price, too. I think it's like ￡75 where I am. I'll probably be buying from Play.com if they have the CE and it's a reasonable price, but if it costs the same as GAME, I might just pass the CE up altogether... even if the goodies are really cool.

Play.com has been slowly raising New Vegas' normal edition price lately... not a good sign.
And I preordered from GAME (I'll cancel it if I find the CE for a better price), so when I said high price I meant higher... 80€ for the PC version is NOT a good price.

wow, thats quite alot of money for the CE...

61€ at Game? Nice. Now I'll just wait for pre-order bonuses. Yay fee-free PC gaming!
