I also oppose the word "prestige". But I would be happy to see the skill cap increased

Sorry, this isn't CoD. I'd prefer it if the features of those games stayed out of TES. Besides, what's the point?

And to those 'flaming teh new player' ... Why? Do you really need to stoop so low as to insult someone who LIKES A DIFFERENT GAME TO YOU?

I personally did not insult anyone but that word doesnt even mean what it means in CoD and i refuse to back that

They're not really flaming him, but I have to agree. There is absolutely no point to it, this is exactly the same as the people asking for a higher level cap. TES isn't really about the leveling portion of the game, it's not like a traditional RPG where leveling is the point of the game. in this game, leveling is just something that happens as you play the game, and skill is no different.

Hey he knew that was coming even before he wrote the thread. It has become FACT that if yu bring up anything related to CoD in a place not CoD related then you will burn

I got it to 100, I am happy with that, no need for medals or prestige for me, not even when I get all of them to 100, which I will eventually do.

Oh god, games like CoD are what are ruining gaming industries today. I do not like CoD, I do not like Battlefield.

They're all the same!
Here's your team, you have guns. There is their team, they have guns. SHOOT EACH OTHER FOR A HALF HOUR AND SEE WHO SHOOTS WHO MOST!
recycle that idea with more guns, and another thoughtless and unimaginative story mode. And bam. There's the next sequal.

If anything the level cap is too high. At level 81 there is no longer any challenge, even on master difficulty.

If it were lower you could not max out all your skills

You can max out all your skills IF you don't upgrade a perk. Such as the first perk for One-Handed. If any of the '1/5' perks goes to '2/5' then you won't be having every single perk my friend.

Which is how it worked in oblivion. Having major and minor skills stopped you from becoming as overpowered as you can be with skyrims leveling system

You can still max out your skills in Oblivion, can't you? Classes just provide faster leveling and a head start on skill level.

Prestige now exclusively applies to CoD? I've seen plenty of applications for the word, none involving everyone's favourite shooter. -_-'

Having the option of progressing a chosen skill above 100 could help define your character. But this is exactly what the level 100 perks already do. :D

Well, I wouldn't suggest prestiging, however I'd say there needs to be some reward for reaching the big one 00. Like in Oblivion, there could be an arena that only lets you enter once you hit that level, challenges whatnot too test your ability to work those skills you've 'mastered'. So, for sneaking you could have a room set up for A to B game. Though, the guards and traps are extra sensitive. Things like that would help keep interest in the game once you reach that milestone. Course, this is just a spit-ball idea

Prestige?

If someone's not a Call of Duty player, they're not going to know what you mean in that context. Even so, such a feature is pointless in a single player game. We don't need shiny emblems to tell us we've maxed out our skills fifteen times over. That's what creating new characters is for.

?

This game isn't class based, it's build based. Why are you asking for prestige classes, op?

I wish every single statistic were contested in the game, so there would be a point to going over 100. Like say, with 100 one handed, it is technically reduced to 86 against an enemy several levels above you. Fighting a level 46 ancient dragon at level 20 with 100% fire resist for example still results in you being toasted etc.

It's natural to be derisive of the word prestige, in the same way the word "Physical Education" elicits furtive looks from geeks in the high school cantina, for it is the terminology of The Enemy.

Sorry, what i meant was that even if you do max out your minor skills it has no effect on leveling your character up.

But then you wuld be even more OP because your enemies would be low-level while you used high-level skills
