For those overachievers in armor ratings.

Can we get a thread about our armor rating/weapon ratings?
I know after an armor rating of 567, it doesn't even matter anymore, but for those who were bored enough to find out the very highest armor rating, what have you gotten to?
I'll start. Daedric with shield: 1803
Dual weild daedric swords: 1100 (without counting fire/abosrb damage enchantments)
Daedric Bow: 549
Other than the bow, I can't get my armor or swords up any higher. anyone else have anything higher, and tips if so?

In other words exploit.

If you want to exploit then why not go for the insane. Like the guy that got damage to something like 2 ^30. Where it showed negative.

To the OP I think my daedric bow with all legit gear came to 2xx. I will have to check. But after all the + archery gear it gets much higher. I'll check when I get home

To get a bow with that damage you have to exploit (resto potion exploit) or be pre patch.

And yes stacking resto potions IS an exploit.

I don't think you can get that high with the multiple armor exploit though

I never push weapons over 200+, although my Daedric bow comes pretty close at 195. My armour which although is a mod, has the same base rating as Daedric has together with a Daedric sheild an armour bonus of around 1500 (not exact) after improvements.

No wonder I was getting one-shot by practically everything. Note to self: Don't give your companion Marked For Death.

I understand what the OP is getting at with this thread, but I don't think the game was meant for any armor or weapon to be improved past Legendary. If it was, it would continue to be named something else. I write this off as one of those glitches that the Devs decided to leave in. I just improve them to Legendary and stop.

HHOOOWWWW. Seriously, I did that. I can't make an enchanting potion past 32%.
and for my bow, it's only at like 3/5 for archery, I'm not done with that. (xbox 360 btw.)

If you max out everything relevant to a weapon's attack, without using Fortify Restoration or Necromage Exploits you should be able to come in around 500 damage on any weapon. That's overkill of the most obscene degree, even on Master.

On master, the Game "Feels Right" at about 200 damage being the ceiling for 1 handed weapons. This would change if Bethesda would give enemies appropriate armor ratings.

Gutslit's is probably 12 or something despite being above level 30. Nightcrawler's is standard for any low level armor wearer. Until he gets good at illusion, that is. Then he can just be the awesome German he should be.

I have an Ebony Bow that is 841 damage and I've never used the Restoration exploit. Don't forget that perks will up the damage. My bow is smithed with a full set of Fortify Smithing gear and a Fortify Smithing potion. Being a Vampire and having Ancient Knowledge adds to how much you can improve a weapon as well.

This sums it up neatly.

There is no reason to get mad at all the exploiters (those of you posting nothing but vitriol and judgement)
They will make their game stale- it is the death of the character, just keep the focus on your own single player game.

And even the "feels right" is subjective- I stay at 70-90 damage on my shortswords- but use DB powereed gloves and make extensive use of MFD, so things balanced.
