I'm trying to force an NPC marriage on Karliah by doing ye old "addfac 19809 1", but it's not working. Is it just not possible or no?

There are some NPCs for which marriage simply isn't possible...Ulfric and Tullius off the top of my head, and possibly (IIRC) Brynjolf as well. Karliah may be one of these.
