When I think of the northern landscape, I imagine large and deep forests (with trees like pines generally) snowy or not. I thought the first gameplay trailer provided an overview of it. But yet, in Skyrim, I have met only poor forests ... with widely spaced trees ..

I hope I'm wrong! In this case, where are those forests?

Well for starters its a video game. Secondly there needs to be spaces to roam and fight enemies. Lastly it is not earth so comparing the forests of skyrim to our forests is illogical.

Do people just sit around thinking of things to complain about?

The area around Riften has some nice deciduous forests. There are lots of areas with evergreens. I don't know what you want though, all forests?

^{I like the forests in Skyrim. The Birch trees are a fav, they made their bark look fantastic. The areas north of riften and the areas around and south west of Riverwood are awesome forest}
