After getting these gauntlets and talking to the orc chief every orc in the camp attacks me. Even if I defend myself and kill the orcs I get a massive bounty for murder, what the hell is going on. Is it possible to complete this without every orc attacking me.

lol wierd. I completed it and it was fine. Then i reloaded my last save and decided to keep the gauntlets since i dont do my own enchanting.

I was offered this quest when I first happened across the Orc fort at Dushnikh Yal but at the time I turned it down thinking it would be offered later when I came back. I'm back and the dialog is the same and I think I'm going to get the quest but when I close the dialog there is no notice of the quest nor is there anything in the quest log. If I go to another fort offering the same quest would I get better results? I've looked and have found no mention of where these gaunlets are located but I might assume that since the quest has not really been given yet that finding the gaunlets won't produce the result I'm looking for??

Can I find the guantlets and can the quest be restarted--X360?? Thanks.

The problem seems to be if you give them to him while he's in his longhouse. I did that first try. In the background I could hear an orc female saying "you're not supposed to be in here." Eventually she got fed up and attacked my character while he was mid-conversation with the chief. The chief then joined in.
I reloaded, waited until he came outside and then tried again. No problem that time.
