Fallout NV has been out for almost a month now, and a lot of people are still complaining about the glitches in the game. I have the PS3 version (I know...) and it is pretty glitchy (similar to Fallout 3: GOTY) but I have found a way to get over it. How? By enjoying the rest of the experience. I've played every Fallout game (with the exception of BOS and Tactics) and found them ALL enjoyable for different reasons. Yes, my game has locked up a few times. Yes, I get the occasional physics glitch where a recently killed Gecko flies across the screen. But I also get the occasional "Wow" moment that makes these glitches seem small and trivial. My video game heyday was when the PSX was the new and great system, so my days of sitting around for hours on end gaming are far behind me. But for those five hours a week I get in the late evening after my 2 year old daughter is asleep and all my other responsibilities are taken care of, I can immerse myself in the Mojave wasteland and truly enjoy it for what it is. A great game with some very minor glitches.

I do agree with you though XD I miss the days when I could sit around for 3 days straight with no responsibilities just enjoying a good game but life does get in the way (work, school, and gf for me. No kids yet). Man, the moment I have a kid my game time is going to clench up to near none. Regardless, the game is exceptionally fun if you ignore the glitches. The latest patch gave me a list of new glitches that annoyed me since last night but I trust they'll have them corrected with a new list glitches by next week and still I love this game. Just need to get more time to mod XD

again its nice you only had some "very minor glitches" a lot of ppl arent that lucky..i dont know why thats so hard for you "very minor glitches" ppl to understand..i guess it really doesnt matter until a "very major glitch" happen to you does it?

When I listen to people who complain to no end about these types of things, it occurs to me that some people have a need to gripe about anything. It's like they're uncomfortable just being content. I loved Fallout 3, and I think this game adds just enough to the formula to be a nice improvement. Fantastic companion games that will be in my collection for a long time.

I completely understand the "Major Glitch" camp. I had major glitches in Fallout 3. I invested 50 hours into it only to have it completely lock up to the point where I couldn't load a game. I was pissed for a while. Got over it, started a new game, and loved it all the same. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've been able to overlook the glitches and am enjoying the game. If my game becomes unplayable, I'll start over, have a new experience, see some new things, play a little differently and still love the game. Just sayin'.

I agree with the OP in all respects. And while I sympathize with those who have "major glitches" the fact of the matter is that this is not diminishing the fun and enjoyment of those expriencing only "minor glitches." I truely hope that those of you who are experiencing these game-breaking glitches are able to continue their games after subsequent patches. However, at least for my part, I'm having a blast in NV and hopeing for many more hours of steller gameplay.

HO hum...another thread for those who have little trouble to browbeat those of us who do.

I remember back when Creative Assembly released Empire:Total War...there were similar issues of major glitches and bugs, and the forums were filled with these exact same "I have no bugs so you are all whining/[censored]ing/etc...funny thing, a major patch was released that almost reversed the situation, so that those with glitches pretty much became bug free while those initially without pretty much couldn't play the game....The really good thing was that it was an absolute pleasure to watch the reactions... The moral of that little story is that it can happen to anyone, and hopefully will in some cases.

However, my summary: Good game, major glitches.

Glitches are more annoying to some people than to others. You can't change that.

I can understand them being frustrated after spending 50-60$.

What I don't understand is all that sometime violent "anti-whining whining" reaction. Opinions, people have the right to express them. Nobody is forced to read every threads. I never read threads I don't want to read.

While I "feel your pain" having had multiple crashes (700+ saves in 120 hrs of gameplay—that's about a save every 10 minutes) until I got all the game settings tweaked just right and the fourth patch installed... that's not the point of this thread.

Don't hijack a thread. If you can't contribute to the topic... don't.

That said, responding to the OP's question. I made a similar comment in another thread. I haven't become emotionally committed to NV. I'f played several of the endings and I'm ambivalent.

I give Obsidian props for deeper and more structured endings. It's just that the story hasn't gripped me.

Some have problems, others don't, but the last thing we want is another topic on this and one that is complaining about people complaining.

If you have no or few problems, play the game, talk about it in topics and enjoy yourselves. If you are having glitches and bugs, seek help in the appropriate Hardware and Software forum with a constructive post or topic.
