Forgot to Call off the Hostility?

I completed the quests for the Brotherhood of Steel while keeping McNamara the Elder and I've talked to the NCR about a truce. Colonel Moore seemed upset and I gained some NCR infamy, but I became a member of the Brotherhood and I leanred how to use power armor. I have two sets of power armor, now. One set is Brotherhood T-51b armor and the other regular T-51b power armor, but I prefer the silver look of the Brotherhood version to the rusty green look of the normal one. Suspecting hostility from the NCR due to the disguise aspect of the game, I saved my game, put on the Brotherhood version, and walked to the NCR embassy in the Strip with my weapon holstered as a test. They attacked me, despite the supposed truce. I remember Colonel Moore mentioning Ambassador Crocker wanting to hear about this and I haven't talked to him about it yet, but is that what I need to do or did Obsidian just forget to call off the hostility between the two groups? If the latter is true, I'm quite disappointed in not being able wear my Brotherhood armor and openly advertise my membership within the Brotherhood. At this point in the NCR questline (the president's speech is next), is it still possible to go for the Wild Card route and exterminate the NCR? As much as I support them, I want to wear my Brotherhood power armor, damnit! :P

Actually, go ahead and start up the presidential quest. You will see a member of the BoS hanging out by one of the stairways leading to Colonel Cassandra Moore. Maybe that's when the truce is finally called? Try and test it then.
