two times in a row now I lost @ 3-4 hours of gameplay due to it eventually dropping my to desktop from the game (crashing) and when I log back in to play again, it reverts back to a save I made early on in the game not recognizing any of the Quick saves, hard saves, or auto saves that were made in the 3 hours or so of gameplay. Losing patience pretty fast at this point, not intending to cry here (and for those of you not getting this error please dievert your posts "its not that big of a deal, quit crying" elsewhere, I would just like to post for whom it may concern. At this point I feel very at a loss as to what to do in regards to continuing playing. Does anyone know if there is a saved games folder I am missing somewhere? Looked all over and didn't see one.

Same here the thing i noticed is the saves don't say save 11 it says save 0001 or 00001 and my F5 save never changes even though i have used it several times. I am also tired of crashes for no damn reason. Oh well off to bed someone needs to kick the TS people in the [censored] to get them out of bed and start a patch.

Ok not really a fix if you played after you realized you lost your save, but there is a way if you exit right away:/ go to my document/My games/falloutNV/saves and there, you will find .bak files. Copy them somewhere else, Remove the .bak extantion and copy them back in saves file.

Its only work if you dint save after the save got erased.

I attempted this, the backups are of my saves from about 10 hours of gameplay ago. I've started saving manually when I remember to, but I usually just tap F5 and go on with it. It keeps sending me back to the first encounter with ceasers legion when I'm level 15 on the strip pre-crash....

I'm so [censored] frustrated with this game. I was almost 10 hours into the game and lost all of my save data and couldn't get it back even using that trick. I ended up reverting back the a save just outside of the doc's house when you start the game. Not only that but I went another 4 hours into the game after starting over and the SAME THING HAPPENED!

Aside from that which is the worst part, hardcoe mode doesn't work properly, as I still never have to sleep. I also have the same choppy frame rate that everyone else has, even running a 2x 9800gtx+ SLI, 8gb of ram, and a quad AMD 3.2ghz...

I'm calling steam tomorrow and demanding my money back. This is ridiculous and honestly Bethesda needs to be sued for selling a product that doesn't work.
