Is Forsworn Armor Usable?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:26 am

My character uses a warhammer so I assume Heavy Armor would be smart, but she looks so damn good in Forsworn Armor I want to use it.

Would this be plausible?

1st part: How does smithing help? Can I make Forsworn Armor?

2nd part: I am so happy you got that. Not a lot of people do.

Forsworn armor is actually a very good light armor and can be upgraded quite a bit with smithing. All sets are blank also so your can enchant it to your preferences.

There is also a unique set of forsworn armor awarded for the forsworn conspiracy quest.

If you want a similarly revealing heavy armor you need to get Falmer armor. It's heavy and has a similar style.

As good as light armor can. My assassin wears it constantly. If you are a heavy armor user you can get Falmer armor which will give you a similar look with more defense.

Does it actually look, for lack of a better word, "hot" on a female?

The topic in the link above covers smithing in detail. You can reach the armor cap by improving your gear regardless of armor type.

That would be a mod for skimpier forsworn armor, but yes with high enough smithing you can hit the armor cap with anything. Through a few exploits you can even have max armor and be naked save for one piece of clothing. >.>

You can't make it but through Smithing you can upgrade it and make it hit the Armor Level cap which is ~570... Your armor will still list as a higher AL but won't actually give any extra effects once you hit that cap which reduces damage by 80%

Not quite as attractive as it is... Warrior-ish. Less revealing. I can't decide :'(

Also, I've never even heard of Falmer Armor, how do you make it?

Hitting the armor cap makes the game too easy and dull imo

Except Dragons and Mages still toast you on master, unless you use a ton of resist enchants too. Really anything that's pure melee is laughable late in the game even without tons of armor.

Seriously the game can be whatever you want. Anything can be made to work. You wanna wear forsworn? Do it and just turn the difficulty down if it's not "good" enough or enjoy the increased difficulty.

Ok good, I like that.

I really like the way she looks in Forsworn so I'm glad to know I can make it work.

Since I'll be upgrading Forsworn and there is no perk for that, would I even need to put points into smithing or can I just upgrade it by gaining levels. I hope I made my question clear, I've never done any form of smithing in this game since my last character was an assassin I just used the DB armor.

you can also use smithing potions (most likely you can find some on alchemy merchents.) To help boost your skills for one minute or so.

Pretty sure you can safely skip putting perks into smithing if you just want to upgrade forsworn armor, though if you are gonna max the skill you may as well take the perks up to daedric so you can make the best weapons, or if you have another weapon you prefer get the perk for that. Also you'd need arcane smithing if you wanted to wear the armor of the old gods.

I have no perks in smithing, with 100 skill and gear enchanted with + smithing I can improve anything to legendary.

Correction, I have two smithing perks, steel and arcane smithing so I can improve the unique stuff.
