Forsworn killed My horse

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 6:20 pm

Hey all.
I have completed the DB quests and was quite happy with Shadowmere it was a pleasure to watch him tank two dragons, a bear and what ever else was in the area, just as i was beginning to think the mighty beast was almost indestructable.
However on a quest to Hobbs Fall in the snow covered lands I parked the horse outside and cleared the cave, However on leaving the cave my mighty and powerful steed drops down dead and the cause on searching the boody a single forsworn arrow. There were no bandits nearby and I didnt think the forsworn ever went that far.
Im on the xbox so no console to bring him back, and he's done his duty so deserves a rest maybe not in sovengarde but a rest anyway.

That's surprising. I had Shadowmere one playthrough and he never died. Every other horse I had, including Frost, has died from a stiff wind.

I actually disabled both Shadowmere and Frost. I did NOT want them coming back. Horses are the poop. By horses I mean hay-burners and by poop I mean road-apples! If you try to sneak with your horse anywhere in Skyrim, they alert all your enemies to your location. Travel by shank's mare, it's the only way.
