I play with NCR alignment and the first time I got to Cottonwood Grove I wasted everybody. Even the guy that takes us to Fortification Hill by boat... is there anyway to get there before I finish the main quest, so I can have a firendly chat with Caeser? Console even?

You can use the raft yourself[assuming you've already been invited], but if your vilified with the legion a "friendly" chat isn't possible.

I have the Mark of Caesar with me, but the guy that takes us on the boat to Fortification Hill is gone, shot dead. And I was being ironical about the "friendly chat" thing, hehehe

How does that raft command work? I am a nerd using the console... I have the Fortification Hill marker on my map, but I never really went there...

I did the same thing (well, actually Boone killed him). I'm villified by the CL anyway.

Once I got the Mark, I just went to the Cove. You get on the boat, and look down. That should be all you need.

Problem is: what boat? Where is it? I shot the guy who is at the boat spot, so now maybe I cannot get there...

the boat looks like the jetty, the only difference is that is has afew barrels holding it up and keeping it afloat.

Well in the place where I wasted the CL guy that grants you access to the boat, there is nothing there. No barrels even, and no boat!..

it's not so much a boat as it is a raft, so it's the big square platform that lies next to the dock (if you want to call it that.)

it's actually not that hard just look down at the raft and "use" it.
