Stylish sure does make a big difference, More so than No Squint does. Thanks for the info, now if only we could take care of these stars. i was looking forward to my second star, now it doesn't matter, cause i've got six... I think

The style changes don't seem to apply when I click one of the forums to enter.

Make sure you select "URLs beginning with" in the "Applies to" drop-down. Then you can use "http://www.gamesas.com" as the URL.

:dead:

Thanks, I suppose I wasn't fully awake yet. Everything looks a bit more tolerable now, and if I can tweak the colors back to what they were maybe I can bear to start reading threads again.

What a mess really. I'm glad the users are scrambling to fix the various issues with the site so fast. Kudos to everyone.

I'm generally happy with it, but I'm struggling with the white-on-black colour scheme because it hurts my eyes.

Luckily Summer suggested I use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592, which allows you to choose colours as well as font sizes. I now have a soothing purple-on-pink custom skin that I find much more restful for long periods of browsing.

Ok you HAVE to show us that one. :stare:

Okay, gonna try that stylish out right now. Typing lots of arcane formulas to make things look otherwise confuse me a bit, though. I'm not *that* kind of computer user.

Two questions :

- With Adblock, I block ALL the .png thingies ? There's such a lot.

- Is there any, any way I can kill the that web 2.0 look of the site ? It reminds me of a bad myspace layout.

Thanks !

Still can't stand the new layout. But now at least I can stand this modified color scheme... for chrome users, try the https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/jbmkekhehjedonbhoikhhkmlapalklgn extension.

*edit* Nevermind about the navigation bar, I understood. Sorry.

Is there a way to make the pinned thread on http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v491/Tusk/Temp/Stylish2.jpg?t=1268505835

Also, the profile look a bit strange now.

Not that I mind much. ^_^ God I love my background.

Thanks for pointing out that error :). Updated. Also added a gresemonkey script for those (like me) that want a CD link on the main page.

This moves the Bethesda Softworks logo at the top of the CD board and the board index to the upper left corner instead of half in the center. It shouldn't affect other boards.
body.fid_18 #header-container, body.fid_0 #header-container {  width: 90% !important; }

EDIT: Any screenshots of the old tan theme would be very helpful.

I have no screens, but would http://mwmythicmods.com/Archives/Mods/%5BList%5DRanger%20and%20rangeresque%20modlist.htm help?

Edit - the threads in the http://mwmythicmods.com/archives.htm can show the tan, green and dark themes - you'd just need to find the right ones.

That's most useful, thanks! :) Never thought I would use the forum archives as color reference.

It's neat, but I find it pretty useless. I don't want some hack to fix the width. I want it done by the admins.

I want it fixed by Admin. as well, but in the meantime i'm gonna get rid of this eyesore by using stylish.

This seems a much better (hopefully temporary) solution than NoSquint. Thanks, Yacoby!

Gotta admit, from the screenshots, you widescreen people are in ocular hell right now. I can't understand what happened - surely, they worked on the forum improvement on one of those pricey widescreen themselves, no ?

And I actually like to use stylish better than the "wait for admin" solution. I do not like a lot of changes, but what I like the less is complaining about it to the authorities and waiting for them to fix the things - kinda put us in a "either shut up and put up with it or feel like a whiny spoiled brat" alternative.

That thread just allows us to fix stuff we don't like ourselves. I like that a lot. And my eyes stopped hurtin'.

Very useful information here. Thank you very much. :goodjob:

For what it's worth, http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l247/falchya/temp/scr127.png is the look I ended up with. Still needs some work, but it'll do for now. Included the stylesheet in case anyone else wants to try it. Only tested with Firefox. Also, do keep in mind that I'm a complete newbie at CSS and probably have most of it backwards.

Edit: My theme is seriously outdated now, and was flawed to begin with. For anyone looking for a green theme, I'd recommend using Max's version instead.

Is there any way to make http://static.zenimax.com/forums/images/public/style_images/zenimaximg/top.png stretch to match the new wider forums ?
