i've been pulling my hair out trying to think of the stone i missed but they are all there.

i have twenty three and two are stacked together in my inventory " that i found before i discovered what they were." or talk to vex or the appraiser.

xbox 360. reading in uespwiki\skyrim it says this is a bug.

is there a work around or do i say oh well and move on to not pulling my hair out!

Is having two of them stacked causing you some sort of problem? I don't think there's a workaround regardless.

Isnt there 24?

Edit: You said 23 in your post >,< hope this isnt a bug... If so then my Khajiit is screwed and now has to carry around 12points of weight forever...

i have the same bug on xbox which leads me to believe this quest is dead and broken

The stones don't weigh anything although they say they have a weight of 0.5 they only have that weight when the quest is completed or not started yet, but it's annoying that they crowd the ineventory.

I have two of these in my inventory, then another one of them on another line. I had a feeling it was ginna cause me problems when I came to turning them in.

That's good news and dissapointig. I haven't picked any up since my first playthrough. I didn't want to find 20 and have the extra weight

They still keep their 0.5 weight for me =s

If they are like other objects like the Dragonstone which weighs 5, I think it doesn't weigh anything when the quest for it is started, same with other quest items, not stone if its the same for the stones, you can find out by clearing you inventory and see if they do weigh anything.

I hope some of them being stacked doesn't affect anything. I have 10 stacked. the rest are separate.

The stones cease to stack in your inventory once you get them identified.

Anyway, OP, the stones that are stacked are the ones you found before you went to see vex to get them appraised. it shouldnt create any bugs, it never has for me anyway. at one point i had 23 stacked before i took them to vex...so now you have 24, take them to her, and she'll give you directions to find the crown.
