You'll find like 8 around Skyrim. Then you'll find one more then after that one you'll get one very special one. Just keep playing and you will see.

Take all of them to the destroyed Mask Alter. Pick up the wooden mask and read the note. Put on the wooden mask and you will be transported back in time prior to the destruction of the alter. Place all the masks in their corresponding locations and unlock the final mask.

Those super hard dungeons make getting a mask all that sweeter.

There are 8 Dragon Priest masks. All in which can be found somewhere throughout Skyrim. The one you found at Shearpoint was on a Dragon Priest named Krosis. Each mask is named after their priest and each one has one or more special abilities. Some masks are considered heavy armor and others are light. Krosis is a light armor Dragon mask that gives you +20 to Lockpicking, Archery and Alchemy. Make sure you hold on to each mask you find or store them in a secure storage unit. These masks are a part of a miscellaneous quest that takes place at the massive ruins known as Labrynthian. In the middle of the ruins under a small dome you find a dead body next to a large shrine. This is called the Dragon Shrine and on it lies a much more mysterious mask called the Wooden Mask. Without spoiling too much I will just tell you that after you find all 8 masks you need to place each one on the shrine. Then wear the Wooden Mask and you will be given a very powerful reward.

If you're interested I can give you the name and location for each mask.

But stumbling blindly upon them is half the fun!

Yep, you get can grab all the masks off the shrine after you get the reward.

I also wanted to add that these masks aren't labeled as quest items so they can be dropped and sold. That is why I said make sure you hold on to them or lock them up in a safe storage unit somewhere in one of your homes. I know of several people who sold one or more of the masks not quite knowing they were rare artifacts. If you lose one of the masks there isn't any known way to get them back and unfortunatly you need to have all the masks in your possesion to complete the Dragon Shrine.

Only use Volsung though.
But they are pretty cool.

I've found some weird Judas Priest mask. I'm now bald, own a goatee and my character seems to randomly scream for no apparent reason.

That was the first mask my first character found in this game. Stumbled across the place at level 14 or 15 or so, and had no clue what was she was in for.

It's a very delicate state of mind.
