No, I have a USB video capture device, the Pinnacle Dazzle. It's got the same A/V ports as most TV's, so you just plug your cables into it, fire up whatever video capture program you like using...which is Debut Video Capture for me, and play like you would on your TV, except it's on your PC monitor. Difference is the video capture program allows you to record in real time. Unfortunately, the Dazzle doesn't have HDMI capabilities, so I can only record in standard def. Somewhere down the road I'll purchase a more advanced USB capture device. But they're of course kinda' pricey, so for now I'll stick with the Dazzle.
