Fraps

I was wondering if I download the free Fraps program will I be able to record a whole elder scrolls game in good quality. Is the free download time based or do you jus get the low end of the performace as opposed to buying it. Is it even worth it to get the free download??

I haven't used the trial in years, but I think it has an extremely strict time limit, though you can still record in high quality. For all I know, it may be freeware by now. You'd just have to download it and see.

Yeah the free trial is only 30 seconds and leaves a watermark on the video. And in good quality takes.....a ton of space....think about 1GB/20sec.

One of the most (if not the most) popular programs for recording game footage.

I've used it, and I can say that it works well. The trial may not be worth it if you're actually trying to do something well. It's just that, a trial. You can try it out but you can't really produce anything meaningful with it. You can get by on the 30 second limit for each recording, perhaps quickly initiate a new recording as fast as possible to pretend that it's all continuous, but your work will still look rather poorly made if that http://i.ytimg.com/vi/d-Q6Rin7O7o/0.jpg (apparently I was beaten to the link by a single post :P) is plastered over all of your footage.

Nope, it just records footage from whatever game you're playing at the time. No more, no less.

Strangely, my Fraps also records me using Google Chrome. I accidentally clicked the record key and I was surprised I had recorded my browsing session for the night.
