Free Entry Into The Strip

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:08 am

Alright, I found something that worked very well to get into the Strip for free, no glitch. (I'm not one to use glitches in FO. )

First you have to have an NCR uniform; I grabbed one early on from Primm because I thought they looked cool. Anyway, before you can go to the strip there's a Mojave Camp or something like that outside of the Strip (By the "New Vegas" welcome sign). You need to go in there and there's a building that has a monorail that goes back and forth between the camp and the Strip. After you enter the building head up the left flight of stairs and put the uniform on (If you don't have the uniform on the guards by the monorail door will kill you) after you go up the stairs take another left there will be two armed NCR soldiers guarding a door; if you have the uniform on they'll wave you through. Take the monorail to The Strip and you'll exit by The Tops Casino.

Sorry if that doesn't make too much sense but I got into New Vegas when I was level 5 playing VeryHard/hardcoe Mode because I wanted to see The Strip, but that's how I did it.

*I posted this exact same thing in a topic but seeing as how not many people will know about it, I decided to make a topic about it*

Any questions for more detail just post here..

*Edit* Also, you don't need a Passport or anything after going to Freeside from The Strip, I didn't even know about passports until I read something on the Forums.

Where the NCR are stationed, I got mine out of a footlocker in the tent next to the leader of the stationed NCR.

I really need to start checking containers before deciding not to steal from them. An NCR uniform is worth the karma.

Great info but once you are in can you travel in and out or do you always need to use the monorail and uniform?

Is it near the Welcome to New Vegas sign by Camp McCarran? That's the only such sign I can find.

Weird i just walked onto the Strip from Freeside and it did'nt cost me anything, the bot asked to see 2000 caps but after that i checked and i still had all my caps, is this just a way to get to the Strip without having the caps to pass the check or did my game glitch and it was suppose to take 2000 caps?

No you can go in and out whatever ways there are, I leave through the North Door usually and get back in just fine. And It may be Camp McCarren, I wasn't ENTIRELY sure on the name but it's where I described; to the right of the "Welcome to New Vegas" sign, very hard to miss.

Again, you can go any way you want, no passports required and the bots won't attack you trying to get back into The Strip from Freeside.

The Camp is actually the NCR base McCarren. you only need to have 2000 caps to get into Vegas you don't pay 2000.

Hmm..At the time I understood that they took your caps, however, seeing as how most people don't have 2000 caps by the time they get to The Strip (or if your like me and want in way early) this is a very viable and easy way of getting into The Strip. :)

Damn tricky, well I have 2,000 so guess I'll just go that way if you don't actually have to pay.

I got mine in Primm, however you might be able to find one somewhere in McCarren, I only found ammo boxes that gave bad karma in the Camp itself..

The tent in Primm to the right of the officers has a locker with uniforms in it, as previously stated.

Same here i think they just check to see if you have 2000 caps, but not take them.
