Free strategy for the Deathclaw Breeding Grounds (SE Corner)

Spoiler
For those wanting to get you Remnant Power Armor as soon as possible.
Get the perk that keeps you from tripping tripwires and landmines before you do this.

#1: Load up on Plasma and Frag mines.
#2: Run down to the only entrance.
#3: Start laying down Plasma mines across the bottom of the ramp between the cliffs.
#3{a}: Space them roughly 10 mine lengths apart.
#3{b}: Lay down a second row above the first, rougly 10 mine lengths from row #1.
#3{c}: Lay the mines down in a checkerboard pattern, so you can maximize the explosive payloads to the running patterns of the deathclaws. This keeps all the mines from blowing up all at the same time on the first deathclaw to run through.
#3{d}: The third and fourth rows should continue the checkerboard pattern, but using alternating frag, and plasma mines.
#3{e}: The fifth and sixth rows should be all frag mines, continuing the previous patterns.
#4: Go back to the bottom of the ramp, and place whatever mines you have left northward along the beach in a two column checkerboard pattern, at least 10 mine lengths apart, untill you run out.
#5: Go to the top of the entry, tag the furthest advlt deathclaw with a High Exlposive missile, or nuke, and lead them down the ramp to thier deaths.
#6: Finish off the stragglers, and go loot tons of claws, parts, and flora!

There should be about 10 to 15 deathclaws in the first batch, mixed advlts and children.
Keep your companions FAR FAR away in a wait status so they dont run in and start plinking from the boom boom seats.

The second half is MUCH easier.
Still keep the companions away, go stand on the ridge to the south, close to the cliffs, but not on the cliffs.
Plink away at the far eastern group of kiddies, mommies, and daddies till roughly 15 are dead, with whatever high damage weapon you want.
Personally, I like High Explosive Missiles because of thier combined damage and explosive radius that pulls in bystanders to the fight.
The Anti-Material Rifle with upgraded ammo works very well also.

After everything is deaded, go get yer new armor, and be sure to harvest all the many many plants in the area.

I just sneak snipe them at night with a silenced .308 sniper rifle. Having a 100 sneak character does help.

It's way more fun when you just get in and blow their brains out as they charge you.

Well...its not a bad setup, but seems a little excessive :D But if your character can't snipe I can see it being a good option.

That's what I did too, but I was using the Gobi Campaign Rifle with AP ammo and lots of drugs. I think only the Deathclaw Mothers took two shots.

Get a silenced weapon and pull them one by one from "sneaking". If you are melee/unamred, knockthem down and keep them down until dead, if you use guns/energy, make sure the DC never gets to you. Either by high damage headshots if you have the gear to pull it off, or by crippling them.

I don't understand the part about the power armor, or the lack there of.

Good strat nonetheless, wish it included how to get the armor as well.
